A: No. The company itself is not a Free Legal Aid or pro-bono structure, But we can place you in contact with an office. Complete your Free Legal Service Application. We do offer our Client Members access to many Free and Discounted services.

Q: How soon will I be contacted by an Attorney Affiliate?

A: Once you have completed your application and its processed, you will receive a private log-in username and password sent to your email address. You may use the account as soon as you have received it in your email. By logging in to the Client Member Log In you will have private access to law firms who offer discounted rates.

Q: How much will by divorce/custody cost?

A: You have two (2) choices for most Divorce and/or Custody cases. Choice # 1: Using our Attorney Affiliate will provide you with reduced rate as a Client Member. Each firm displays their fees and you may contact any of the law firms with our official Americas Preferred Lawyer logo. Only these firms offer reduced legal fees for Members. Choice #2: Americas Legal Connection provides hundreds of simple Divorce and Custody documentation to all individuals each month. You have the ability to pay only a fraction of an attorneys fees, examples of rates include simple divorce papers for $410.00 and custody papers for $750.00. We also provide a flexible payment arrangement for our Client Members and Individuals.

Q: Can I get a free consultation before paying the application fee?

A: No. The application fee is standard and is non-refundable. The application provides us with your legal request and is maintained within our records for future requests. All enrolled Client Members will receive a Free Consultation per new legal matter. Client Members may request multiple lawyers at no extra charge.

Q: Why is there a monthly service fee?

A: The monthly service fee of $19.75 ensures that you receive the many benefits of membership, including the reduced Attorney Affiliates rates, which average a savings of $135.00 to $185.00 per hour. As a Client Member in good standing you may access our attorney database for ANY legal issue. Some view our services as equally or more valuable than insurance, as you could just as likely find yourself in a legal bind as a medical or automotive one. We do not enforce contracts with memberships.

Q: Do I have to be a Client Member to have documents completed by the Company?

A: No. You may simply contact us through our toll-free number, 1-866-820-3626, to discuss with our administrators, options to complete legal forms such as Pro se. Our website will soon allow you to independently purchase, download, and complete certain documents. We provide document reviews once you have completed the forms yourself for a one-time $56.00 review fee.

Q: Is Americas Legal Connection considered a "legal assistance" program or government operated?

A: No. The Company was developed nationally by the parent company I Ocean Companies. To assist individuals, companies, private organizations, unions and other such groups. The company is not an insurance structure or network marketing company. The company is listed with many affiliations nationwide, including incorrect listings under legal aid. This is in no part due to placement by the company or I Ocean Companies. We are not legal aid, but can place you with an office near you, complete your Free Legal Aid Application here.

Q: How many office locations does the Company have?

A: One. Denver, Colorado. This is our centralized location which fully administers the network of Attorney Affiliates, Client Members services, and documents. Our website is designed to allow any individual or Client Member 24-hr. access to the same information as our employees.

Q: Can you help me even if I'm not working?

A: Yes. We are not restricted in who we help; our only guidelines are that you pay the application and the monthly service fees to receive the benefits of PAYING LESS to the Attorney Affiliate and for all our other FREE and DISCOUNTED services. If you cannot afford the application fee we will place your information to be contacted with a Pro bono Service Provider, complete your free legal application here.

Q: Is this Company part of the company known as Pre-Paid Legal Services Inc?

A: No. The Client Members and all inquiries are submitted directly to the administration offices. We employ an ample staff to handle the needs of our members and other visitors. The term pre-paid legal, is a classification of the type of industry we are and not a part of the company also known as Pre-Paid Legal Services Inc.

Q: What can I do if I can't afford an attorney?

A: Contacting us is the first step to addressing any legal issue. If you cannot afford an attorney, we provide our individuals access to over 800 of our Pro bono and Public Service offices nationwide. You must still complete our free legal application.

Q: What is America's Legal Match?

A: This program is a customized search feature which will allow any individual to insert their specific lawyer requirements and be presented with an attorney that can match the individual's time frame, hourly and retainer budgets.
